GUILDS
INFORMATION
Guilds exist to provide a pathway to items or abilities that aren't robust enough to be their own profession. Plus, they're a fun way to set and achieve goals for your character! There are some important tidbits to know about guilds before you get started, though.

TYPES
There are currently only two types of guild for Lithium: Architect and Merchant. These are by no means the only types that will ever exist, just what we have so far. We're open to suggestions for more if you have them!

MEMBERSHIP
To join, find the Guild Hall in game and follow the instructions there. Once you've done that, make a post in the corresponding guild channel on the Discord. This post will serve as a living record of your membership, and is where you will post your updates on your journey.
When a character leaves a guild, they lose all progress they have made in that guild, and access to any perks or engrams from the guild. There are no other penalties, so feel free to switch back and forth at your desire.

PERKS
Each guild comes with its own perks. These can be server-wide, or character-specific. Some perks must be earned through achieving various badges or ranks. You can find more information for each guild below.

RULES

A character may only be a member of one guild at any given time.

Joining or leaving a guild requires visiting the Guild Hall in game and completing an application or notice before posting in the corresponding guild channel on the Discord.​

Requirements for a rank or badge must be submitted in game at the Guild Hall before you notify us in the corresponding guild channel on the Discord.

There must be a minimum of 72 hours between submission for each badge or rank.​

Using any engrams or items before you have achieved the badge and/or rank for them is strictly prohibited and monitored.​​

Anyone found using engrams or items without the appropriate badge and/or rank will be warned only once, then removed from their guild and barred from rejoining any guild if it happens again.

Any character not part of a guild found using guild engrams or items will be warned only once, then barred from joining any guild. If it continues, it may warrant further action.

A guild member selling a single-use item to you is fine. i.e. A member of the Architect Guild sells you walls and ceilings to build with.​

Only Merchants may use the sell carts, though they can certainly put your items in one to sell for you!​

ARCHITECT'S GUILD
From those who excel in spooky dungeons, to those who have studied the intricacies of gothic infrastructure in the context of urban habitation and planning, all are welcome to join the Architect's Guild and unlock the privilege to build in all applicable mediums. The further you progress, the more sturdy of structure you gain access to. Put in the time, put in the effort, and soon you will become the most sought after builder in the land.

MERCHANT'S GUILD
For those who enjoy coin--shiny, clinky, coin--there is the Merchant Guild! If you have wares, customers from every land will have coin. The more time you spend studying the art of haggle and barter, the more profit you can make. Keep working up the ranks and once you reach Master Merchant, you could easily become the richest person around!
